Life Is Good

My mom and I went to a local farm on Friday to pick blueberries and peaches, and – once we saw the fields – flowers, too. I’m always impressed by how busy u-pick farms are, how many families come out together, how many languages are spoken in the fields. Gives me great hope for the future…

peach and berry pie

I cannot begin to capture in a photograph the yummy summer deliciousness of this peach and berry pie or the stunning beauty of this dahlia. It’s in a vase on my kitchen windowsill and it knocks me out every time I look at it.

Do you ever experience those transcendent moments? No matter what your worries, big or small, they are erased by the beauty of something as seemingly simple as a flower? I mean, who cares about marketing strategy in the face of something that breathtaking?

Yes, summer is good. Life is good.
