I took the weekend off…

… and the world is still turning.

I was even able to let my business-mind take a weekend off (well, almost).

Even more miraculous.

And it was good.

And now I’m “behind.” But I have to ask, so what?

It’s true, I did overreach. As in: totally underestimated the magnitude of what I started. Which is mostly exciting until I start beating myself up about how I’m handling it.

Must. Stick. To. Plan.

Except sticking to the plan is exhausting and – hey, wait a minute! – something I totally made up… It’s not the boss of me. I’m the boss of me.

I am only “behind” according to my own schedule. I made the plan, therefore I can change the plan. Make some adjustments, communicate those and voila! just like that I’m back on track.

Funny how easy that was.

Congrats. This is hard. But part of the point of working for yourself.
